W Adams Flow Blue Bowl-Fairy Villas-c. 1892-1917 Offered is this lovely flow blue bowl in the William Adams pattern, Fairy villas. Bowl features a sailboat on the water surrounded by lush foliage and fanciful buildings. Very dense floral pattern border with raised scallops and flourishes. Deep flow blue with blue glaze pooling on back. Originally a Maddock & Seddon pattern, c. 1839 – 1840’s and also used by Meir & Sons.. Adams used this pattern from 1892-1917. Fancy cartouche style mark on back which reads, Fairy Villas, Stone china, W. Adams Co, England. Bowl measures 10-1/4" wide and is in very good useful condition.
