Up for your consideration is a Royal Stafforshire Iris Oval Covered Vegetable Bowl. There was brown discolorations on it that has been professionally abated. The crazing has been reduced during the cleaning process and there is some wear to the gold. There is a marking on the bottom which looks like an S. The bottom reads Iris Royal Staffordshire Pottery Burslem England. This piece is very old and it is a very desirable and beautiful piece. It is from end to end the bowl is 10 1/2" (not handle to handle), from handle to handle 13", from top to bottom 6" and 8" wide. It has been returned to its essentially excellent condition. It is more of a Slate Blue than most Staffordshire which is more of a Cobalt Blue. A Very nice piece that turned out wounderfully.
